"Here and There" was created to discover or rediscover the history of the Trixhes neighborhood in Flémalle from the perspective of migration. It aims to provoke reflection on the experiences of people who migrated to this region, highlighting the challenges they faced.

In a garage located in the Trixhes neighborhood in Flémalle, Liège, the installation projects onto the entire wall facing the door, transforming it into an immersive screen. Silence prevails as the projection begins. A massive door materializes on the screen, closing with a resonating metallic sound. A second door appears within the first, slightly smaller, following the same swift motion.

This illusion continues as more and more doors are added to the projection, gradually decreasing in size. This evokes the intensification of migratory flows and underscores the inability of Western countries to cope with them. The "Here and There" installation employs a play of mise en abyme to give a voice to the voiceless, thus amplifying the narratives and experiences of migrants.

Here and There" a été créée pour découvrir ou redécouvrir l'histoire du quartier des Trixhes à Flémalle sous l'angle de la migration. Elle vise à susciter une réflexion sur les expériences des personnes qui ont migré vers cette région, en mettant en lumière les défis auxquels elles ont été confrontées.

Dans un garage situé dans le quartier des Trixhes à Flémalle, Liège, l'installation projette sur le mur entier qui fait face à la porte un écran immersif. Le silence règne tandis que la projection débute. Une porte massive s'anime sur l'écran, se refermant avec un bruit métallique saisissant. Une deuxième porte apparaît, légèrement plus petite, suivant le même mouvement rapide.

Cette illusion se poursuit avec l'ajout progressif de portes sur la projection, de plus en plus petites. Cela évoque l'intensification des flux migratoires et souligne l'incapacité des pays occidentaux à y faire face. L'installation "Here and There" utilise un jeu de mise en abyme pour donner une voix aux sans-voix, amplifiant ainsi les récits et les expériences des migrants.
